HI-MATPlus

Smiths Heimann X-ray Inspection Systems Advanced Option - HI-MAT Plus

Advanced Multi Energy Method

HI-MATPlus improves detectability of objects inside screened items due to its ergonomic color representation. By color coding inorganic and organic materials, HI-MATPlus assists the operator in identifying harmful devices, such as explosives. Very fine structures and differences in density become visible, so thin wires or hidden items can easily be recognized.

HI-SPOT

Smiths Heimann X-ray Inspection Systems Advanced Option - HI-SPOT Automatic Dense Area Detection

Automatic Dense Area Detection

HI-SPOT greatly improves the process of examining dense objects. By automatically lighting dense objects and leaving areas of low absorption alone, HI-SPOT optimizes the image allowing for fast, accurate, and detailed analysis without the need for operator intervention.

HI-TIPPlus

Smiths Heimann X-ray Inspection Systems Advanced Option - HI-TIP Plus

Threat Image Projection

HI-TIPPlus has been designed to address the issues of training and on-the-job testing. Drawing from a library of digital threat items stored in the x-ray system, HI-TIPPlus places threat objects into items as they appear on the monitor. Pressing a key on the control panel will inform the operator if they are being tested, while failing to identify the threat will result in the conveyor being stopped. Results are then stored allowing supervisors to review their operator’s performance.

IMS

Smiths Heimann X-ray Inspection Systems Advanced Option - Image Management System (IMS)

Image Management System

IMS or Image Store allows for the capturing of x-ray images. Once captured, the image can be filed, downloaded, used in conjunction with HI-TIPPlus, or as training tools for operators. Images can also be stored as a permanent record of what has entered or left a facility. IMS stores about 6,000 images.

X-ACT

X-ACT (Advanced Contents Tracking) - Smiths Heimann X-ray Inspection Systems Advanced Option

Advanced Contents Tracking

X-ACT offers an automated procedure for the recognition of particular substances. By placing a frame around objects that could potentially be explosives or narcotics, X-ACT enhances the operator’s ability to identify these difficult objects. Derived from Heimann’s Automated Systems, X-ACT employs an advanced algorithm that analyzes objects based on atomic number, density, and volume.

OTS Xtrain

Operator Training System

OTS Xtrain is an on-the-job training and testing program based on HI-TIPPlus library with operator assigned reports. This program is installed on the x-ray machine for all operators to use during down time on their shifts. The operator can switch between OTS Xtrain and real time with ease.

X-Plore

Smiths Heimann X-ray Inspection Systmes - Advanced Options - X-Plore

Sensitive Image Display

X-Plore provides semi-automatic highlighting of potential explosive materials and narcotics using atomic weights.

High Density Alert

In the case of the presence of high absorbing material, the operator is warned by an audible signal and/or stopping of the belt.

Super-ENhancement (SEN)

Smiths Heimann X-ray Inspection Systems - Advanced Option - Super-ENhancement (SEN)

The Super-ENhancement function supports the operator in evaluating x-ray images of inspected objects faster and more effectively. By enhancing the x-ray image, recognition of single objects like plastic weapons, explosives, and drugs is significantly improved.
